While a lot of Voice Actors make the transition to Voice Directors, Ki's reason is underpinned by her inherent values and goals: Advocating for and helping make the Industry a more welcoming, diverse and accessible place for all. 

Dropped curbs, closed captions and even beeps at pedestrian crossings are all features that were initially meant for assisting disabled folks but have since become beneficial staples in everyone's lives. A rising ocean lifts all ships, and the same can and should more often be said for the industry at large.

Ki truly believes that actors facing disability, neurodivergence, marginalisation and financial hardships should have more accessibility to the industry, and that the tools which can enable them to do so will ultimately only benefit not only the actors and folks working in the booth, but also studios, projects, and the reason a lot of us ultimately join this career- for the craft and art. By nurturing these talents, many stories will be afforded performers who truly understand what it is to live character's experiences, bringing new life, perspectives and depths to them. 

Her directing style is influenced by this as well as her own experiences of mental and chronic health conditions; she adapts to voice actors' needs to ensure a comfortable, openly communicative space and allows an efficient, collaborative environment to bring the best takes to life in a fun and secure environment. By understanding and advocation on the directors' side of the screen, it allows actors to enjoy the job they're on and further explore the role with a freedom not often provided- one without feelings of guilt, being a burden or of having to self-advocate.

As someone who's benefited from many initiatives like Limit Break for marginalised game devs and creators, and as someone who was helped through difficult times in her life by games and media, Ki truly wishes to pay it forward as much as possible in her career. As one example, this is reflected in her casting calls where feedback is offered to anyone auditioning, as there shouldn't be a financial barrier to learning where to improve- over half of people who auditioned requested and received at minimum a paragraph of feedback in their last call.
